Healthy soil is the foundation of a healthy lawn, and EarthScapes offers a variety of soil and aggregate materials to establish a nourishing organic base below your turf. For your special applications, EarthScapes can also custom blend soils with other materials to your specifications.
Our products are available for pick-up, with delivery and installation also available. Deliveries are on a pre-scheduled basis, and we will do our best to accommodate your needs and schedule. Products are priced by the cubic yard.

Our Grade 1 PTS is a blended topsoil that has been machine pulverized, with all large chunks (over 1″) removed or screened off. The light, fluffy mixture includes topsoil, sand and organic amendments and is easy to work with using ordinary hand tools. Grade 1 PTS is ideal for establishing new lawns, as a perfect base soil for seeding, sodding and landscaping. It is also beneficial for yard restorations, planting beds, and as fill dirt for depressions or low areas in a yard or landscaping bed. Our Grade 1 PTS is stored in our enclosed soil building, so it is always dry and ready to use.
Our Grade 2 PTS is similar in composition to our Grade 1 PTS, except that it contains larger chunks of material (over 1″). It is slightly more difficult to work with due to the larger chunks included with the material but has the same general properties of our Grade 1 PTS. Our Grade 2 PTS is stored in our enclosed soil building, so it is always dry and ready to use.
Our quality STS topsoil is non-pulverized and non-emended, and is an economical alternative to our PTS topsoils. Because it is not pulverized, it contains larger chunks of material. It is ideal for filling larger areas, building berms, and creating drainage contours. STS is stored outside in stockpiles and loaded by large machines, so this product most generally needs to be installed and worked by a machine to break up and compact the material to desired grades.
EarthScapes’ biosoil is primarily used in bio retention basins to clean/filter stormwater runoff and slow it down as it flows through storm water management systems. In the Kansas City area and beyond, BMP (best management processes) are now specifying, and in some cases requiring, that biosoils be used as part of stormwater management programs. Our biosoil is MARC (Mid-America Regional Council) Certified for use in this manner.

Because of its slower water release and absorption characteristics, clay soil is ideal for use in fill areas and where compaction and molded grades are desired. Clay soil is dense and less organically rich, and typically requires top dressing with suitable topsoil for healthy seed, sod and plant growth. Availability varies. Call ahead for pickup orders.
Our fill dirt is intended for use when filling depressions and/or building up low areas, and no additional uses are suggested. It typically contains a variety of soil types along with varying amounts of rock. Fill dirt is not a substitute for topsoil. Our delivery trucks can haul from 5 to 20 cubic yards per load. Availability varies. Call ahead for pickup.
EarthScapes can provide either ABS grade (fine) or >3″ coarse crushed concrete. This recycled material is ideal for many applications, such as tracking controls on jobsites, temporary driveways, and a base under concrete pours. Please note that these products are subject to availability.
